Free The Mind

The "Free The Mind" project sets out to convey the message of deep inner emotion and thought, the hard truths that the brain likes to toss into our heads that we try to shove down, but eventually, they come right back up. I asked the model, Avenlea, to draw and write down her thoughts and try to dig deep and express herself on paper. This project utilizes those drawings and portrait photography with her handwriting to create a collection that extends the boundaries of traditional photography. In essence, all the drawings and words you see in these photos were done by Avenlea herself.
