I thought of this idea about a year ago after seeing artist Geloy Concepcion’s work on TikTok. I tried doing this project with old photos of mine, but it didn’t work out the way i wanted it to. Now, to yesterday, since i am home, i realized it would be a good idea to go back to photos that my dad used to take before and after i was born. the writings on the photos from this series are all lyrics from artists. music and musical artists have a way of conveying emotions that many of us have, but can’t explain or don’t feel as if there is a way to describe it, even to oneself. it is a way to express emotions and feelings without even thinking a lot of the time.
